About Member Benefits, LLC

In an effort to provide you with even greater flexibility and a wider range of insurance products, we decided to form our own agency, Member Benefits, LLC. Our new agency is the first of its kind in the state of Connecticut, and best of all, the credit union owns it, which means that you own it.

Owning our own agency gives us total control of choosing the best types of insurance plans offered today. We also have a voice in selecting the professionals who will be working with you, giving us more ability to enhance your financial piece of mind.

Over the years, we have formed numerous partnerships in an effort to provide you with comprehensive life insurance plans, long-term care insurance, disability insurance, health insurance or lifelong income plans.

Our main goal is to continue to assist you with all of your insurance needs.

Products and Services

Universal Life Insurance
Universal life coverage helps members combine life insurance protection with an ability to grow cash value - at a competitive cost. Since Universal life policies are highly flexible, premiums can be increased, decreased or deferred, and cash values can be withdrawn. Universal life insurance can also help members replace income for dependents, pay final expenses, or create an inheritance for beneficiaries. No medical exam required.

As its name indicates, term life insurance insures you for a specific term or span of years. Because it provides “pure” insurance without any cash value accumulation, term life insurance coverage is generally less expensive initially than permanent coverage. Term life insurance provides a solution to your short-term needs. No medical exam required.

Cancer Insurance
This policy specifically covers illness due to cancer. It is different from medical or disability insurance because it focuses on the expenses associated with cancer treatments that are not normally covered by other kinds of policies. The benefits are paid to you in addition to any other insurance you may already have.

How long could you go without a paycheck? If you were injured and became disabled tomorrow and couldn’t work for several months, would you have enough money saved to cover your living expenses during that time? If not, you may want to consider short-term disability insurance. Monthly benefit up to $5,000, no medical exam required.

Accidents and injuries can happen at any time. Base Coverage includes Accident Emergency Treatment, Initial Accident Hospitalization, and Follow-Up Visit and Physical Therapy. Optional additional coverage includes a Wellness Benefit, Sickness Benefit Rider, Spouse Benefit and more.

An accident can strike suddenly, whether during a business trip, vacation, or daily activities. Are you prepared financially? No one likes to think about the worst occurring, however it is a comfort to know that your family can receive a death benefit in the event of your accidental death. This benefit also covers dismemberment resulting from an accident.
