Expanded Contact Center Hours During Transition
As part of the merger, we are pleased to offer our already expanded contact center hours to better serve you.
Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union’s standard contact center hours:
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Further expanded hours during the first week of transition:
- Tuesday, 1/21 – Friday, 1/24: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
To ensure we meet your needs during this transition, we will closely monitor call volumes. If necessary, we will maintain these extended hours until call volumes normalize. Any updates to contact center hours will be posted here, so please check back for the latest information.

General Member Service
Yes, telephone, online, and mobile banking will be unavailable beginning at 5:00 pm on January 17, 2025, through Monday, January 20, 2025. Your First Bristol debit card will continue to work at ATMs and retail locations throughout the weekend.
Yes, all First Bristol branches will be closed on January 18, 2025. Branches will also be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, for the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.
Your account numbers will not change.
On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, your accounts will automatically transition to a similar Nutmeg account. Your primary checking account will move to Nutmeg’s More-Than-Free Checking – learn about all the great features of this account here.
All electronic deposits and withdrawals set up through ACH will continue to process without interruption, and you do not need to take any action. Any automatic payments set up with your First Bristol debit card will need to be reestablished after you activate your new Nutmeg Debit Mastercard.
Yes, if you have set up direct deposit into your accounts, it will continue to process, and you do not need to take any action.
Yes, your new Nutmeg member number is your First Bristol member number preceded with 01935.
You will be asked to verify your name, address, phone number and 2 additional pieces of information which can be the last 4 digits of your driver’s license, debit card, credit card, year/make/model of vehicle, or a recent transaction.
Yes, your original membership date will carry over to Nutmeg.
Yes, you will need to re-enroll if you would like e-statements and other electronic notifications. You can re-enroll when you set up your Nutmeg e-Banking.
Yes, you can continue to use your First Bristol checks until you run out. When you’re ready to re-order, please call or stop by any Nutmeg branch.
Nutmeg’s routing number is 211977362. While First Bristol’s routing number will continue to work, we encourage you to use Nutmeg’s routing number when setting up any new transactions or re-ordering checks.
You can continue to use the First Bristol phone number. Contact Center hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Yes, you will receive a final First Bristol paper statement on approximately January 26, 2025, and then receive your first Nutmeg statement on or around February 1, 2025.
Your First Bristol Debit Card will stop working on Monday, January 20, 2025. You should begin using your new Nutmeg Debit Mastercard beginning on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
You will receive your new Nutmeg Debit Mastercard in the mail by early January, 2025.
You can activate and select a new pin for your Nutmeg Debit Mastercard beginning on January 21, 2025.
Your current card limits will remain the same, with a $500 ATM withdrawal limit and a $1,500 limit for retail purchases.
There will be no changes to your Safety Deposit Box. Please stay tuned for additional details coming late summer 2025!
Yes, the Member Courtesy program will convert to Nutmeg State’s Privilege Program on January 21, 2025. Enrollment into Nutmeg State’s Privilege Program is required. You may enroll through online banking, in-person, or over the phone.
There will be no changes to your IRA account, however you will receive notification of change to the Custodian from First Bristol Federal Credit Union to Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union.
The rates and terms of you Certificate accounts will not change.

First Bristol’s online banking will stop working at 5:00pm on Friday, January 17, 2025. If you have payees set up in your Bill Pay, we encourage you to copy them prior to January 13, 2025. You will need to enroll in Nutmeg’s e-Banking beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, to use online banking services.

You can access online banking by going directly to https://my.nutmegstatefcu.org. Additionally, you may access this in the upper right-hand corner of our website from a browser, or by clicking the menu icon from your mobile device, at which point an E-Banking login will display.

Yes, you will need to re-enroll into e-statements, which you can do when you enroll in Nutmeg’s e-Banking.
Your existing First Bristol Bill Pay will continue to process payments through January 17, 2025. Beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, you must register for Nutmeg’s e-Pay service to ensure your payments will continue to be processed. Your current First Bristol Bill Pay payee list will automatically transfer to Nutmeg’s e-Pay service. We do recommend that you make a copy of your lists of payees prior to Monday, January 13, 2025, for your records.

Yes. After you log into Nutmeg’s e-Banking beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, you can download Nutmeg’s mobile app from the Apple App store or Google Play Store through your Apple or Android mobile devices.
All existing automatic transfers from your accounts will continue to be processed and you don’t need to take any action. Recurring transfers that you have set up through Online Banking will continue to process as long as you have enrolled in Nutmeg’s e-Banking. Please enroll in Nutmeg’s e-Banking beginning Janaury 21, 2025, to ensure your transfers continue to process without interruption. Please be aware — any automatic transfers set up from your First Bristol Debit Card will need to be re-established using your new Nutmeg Debit Mastercard.
Your account history for the past 12 months will be available through e-Statements in Nutmeg’s e-Banking. To access your statements, please enroll in Nutmeg e-Banking and opt-in to receive e-Statements beginning January 21, 2025.

Your loan number will remain the same.
The rates and terms of your loan will not change.
Your loan payment due date will remain the same. Please be aware that automatic mortgage loan payments will now be processed on the first day of the month instead of the 15th of the month.
Any automatic loan payment transfers you have set up from your accounts will continue to be processed and you don’t need to make any changes.
Please mail your payments to: Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, P.O. Box 66, Rocky Hill CT 06067. You should make your check payable to Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union.
Your payment grace period will not change.
Moving forward with Nutmeg, you can pay your loan a maximum of three months ahead.
You can continue to use your First Bristol Loan Payment Book if you have one.
