2016 – Looking Back and Looking Ahead
In 2016, we made exceptional strides both as a credit union and within our industry. Our goal is always to better serve you through the expanded use of technology and through exceptional experiences.
A Look Back on 2016
Our first big project was the launch of our newly designed website, which created easier navigation. It also allowed our site to be viewed in response to the size of your screen or web browser. From there, our attention shifted to the biggest Core Conversion in Nutmeg’s history. During the 4th of July weekend, we converted to new internal and external processing systems. All of our technology was upgraded making it easier for you to bank with us.
During 2016, we also reevaluated our branches to determine how we can use technology to maximize your banking experience. As the Price Chopper grocery store chain began its initial stages of rebranding, we had no choice but to end our relationship and lease in Newington. Many who frequently used this location found an easy transition at other convenient branches in Rocky Hill and Cromwell. Other members also found an easy transition utilizing our many advanced e-Banking services. Our online and mobile app portals are available 24/7. You can do everything electronically that you can do in a branch. This includes applying and paying for loans, opening accounts, check deposits, transfers and other day-to-day account transactions.
A Look Ahead to 2017
Technology continues to evolve, but we know the importance of branches as well. At the beginning of 2017, we opened our newest location in West Hartford Center (973 Farmington Avenue). This branch is the first step toward our modern approach in delivering banking services in a unique, state-of-the-art, technology driven environment that will help you efficiently and conveniently handle all of your banking needs. We invite you to come and check out this unique experience. Our staff is eager to meet you!
It will be a busy year. We have many exciting projects including new locations in New Haven County. We also have more technology upgrades planned – please stay tuned! And finally, we will continue to support our local communities through volunteer efforts and sponsorships. We take pride in being a part of your daily life.
