Newington Branch Closing – Effective 10/31/16

A Closer Look at Our Upcoming Branch Strategy

As you all know, we regularly research our branch presence throughout the state and evaluate locations as needed. Easy access and convenience are always top-of-mind. We are always considering new ideas, new locations, new strategies and new technology.

With that in mind, as some of you may have heard, the Price Chopper grocery stores are in the beginning stages of re-branding themselves into a new chain. Unfortunately, as a result, we will end our partnership with them, as they have decided not to renew our lease. Our Newington branch doors will permanently close on October 31, 2016.

For those of you who bank in Newington, there are still branches that are very easily accessible to you. Our Rocky Hill branch, located at 521 Cromwell Avenue, is 2.3 miles from the Newington Price Chopper branch; the Cromwell Walmart branch, located at 161 Berlin Road, is 5.4 miles away; the New Britain branch, located at 995 West Main Street, is 6.3 miles away; and the Glastonbury branch located at 81 House Street, is 9.1 miles away.

Additionally we are excited to announce the planned opening of two new locations at the end of this year. We plan to open a branch in West Hartford, followed by our first branch in New Haven county in Orange. We believe the proximity of the West Hartford location to the Newington branch – as well as our existing branches – will provide minimal disruption to your banking. We are excited to bring our brand, our employees, and our services to these new areas! Once open, we encourage you to check out our new locations and meet the staff.

While we continue to expand our physical locations, as always, our electronic services are also available 24/7. Our e-Services allow you to do anything you can do in a branch but right from your smartphone, tablet, or home computer.
