With the changing climate and transition into the winter season, concerns are being raised of a possible resurgence in COVID-19 cases. In the event that this does happen, I’d like you all to know that Nutmeg is prepared to handle any challenges and continue to serve all of our members into 2021. In addition to our up-to-date disaster recovery plan, we also have many online resources available to ensure that your banking experience is as safe as possible. I’d like to take some time today to remind everyone about these options and how they can help.
Since the pandemic began earlier this year, we created a COVID-19 Resource Center with important information for businesses and consumer members. This includes information about financial relief options, safe banking, Nutmeg operations and much more. I strongly encourage everyone to take a moment and view this area of our website as it is useful for all members of the credit union.
With the COVID-19 Resource Center, you can learn about:

- Loan relief options for consumer members and business members
- The Paycheck Protection Program for businesses
- Online appointment scheduling for Nutmeg visits and DMV Express visits

As we enter the winter season, we will also monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and update the Resource Center accordingly. You can expect to see important changes in the coming weeks and months, so be sure to check back frequently.
If you have concerns about our brick-and-mortar operations, know that we have been taking every precaution necessary to offer the safest banking experience possible. Our staff are required to wear masks, practice social distancing and sanitize surfaces regularly. We will continue to follow these safety guidelines through the winter season and strongly encourage you to stay safe and do the same. In the event that a location is forced to close for any reason, we will be sure to communicate more details with you and offer our online resources as an alternative solution.
Even during these unprecedented times, I am proud to say that our locations have remained open and are getting even better. Over the past year, we have made significant advancements to the credit union’s footprint by furthering our retail partnerships and enhancing existing locations. If you haven’t heard yet from our social media or my recent blogs, we expanded in Glastonbury and West Hartford and have a new DMV Express location coming to Norwalk soon! Now is a very exciting time to be a Nutmeg member and we are looking forward to serving you at new locations in 2021 and beyond.
